not to make item descriptions to long
easy clear layout, as bulletpoints instead of a large paragraph
always include images, which are clear and of a decent size, preferably with all sides
keep the page lively not dull
a search function
buttons to where they need to go, i.e checkout,main page

(I also have a .htaccess file to facilitate this.) These error pages are all exact copies of my home page, so whatever the user does, they will end up seeing my home page if they make a mistake. What concerns me is, will I incur any duplicate content penalty (with Google or any of the search engines) because of this, and will my rankings suffer as a result?

Some realistic measures would be good – for example – page views, unique users, number of posts, search engine rankings, frequency of posts, etc. How do these affect the Google AdSense revenues?
