Jeff – the answer is a resounding – NO. And please never open your spam email ( if you do not know the sender – even those posing as yahoo- never ever open the email) as then we will be trying to help you get rid of a major virus before your computer crashes. If it is spam – it is dangerous to your computer so never open or read it.

I have a couple of small business sites and I’ve read tonight on a Forum that if you put a watermark over all your photo’s on your site with your web address then the Search Engines will pick this up and boost your rankings. Early tests with a friends web site who has done this gives her 650 links with me about 100 however I have over 100 reciprical links and she has only a handfull. Does any one know if this is true ?
Thanks

Maybe with some search engine(s) but even if it is part of some search engines algorithm it is a minor factor and only one of many that are taken into consideration.
Far more important are things like content, backlinks, age of site, page title, keyword frequency, keyword with H1 tag, etc.
But as already suggested you should probably take advantage of any option that might help. If you expect the site to still be active in 2 years register for more than a year. Can’t hurt

If so, would you please bookmark my site www.fit-dc.com in your browser(s). I am a small gym in washington DC, and I am having a hard time getting rankings. Any other tips on how to improve my rank?
