Seo-do Commented Instances Of Outside Url Get Included In Crawl As A Regular Link? Search Engine Optimization?

I understand that pages’ rankings can be heavily influenced by appearing or being linked to from more respected / large / proper web sites.
Say for each time the string ‘http // www. wherever . com / a file.html” appears in the source, we will call it an instance.
Would the crawler consider any or all of the following as ‘instances’, in the source and if so, which one(s)..
Example 1 ( a direct, visible link ) .
regular link
example 2 (simply displayed as just text, no link.)
” i found this page it’s at http : // www. the site . com / a file. html ”
example 3 (the one I’m most curious about, a link commented out)
< ! — analytics / hitbox / whatever else code and meta tags
& nbsp ;

Any help or educated guesses are appreciated.

Marketing a small business locally online and how to maximize it

Most small companies prefer to use the traditional methods to marketing a small business. The traditional methods of marketing such as radio, television, and print publication are still common, but can be very expensive. Business owners neglect the fact of how important marketing online is. Marketing a small business online can not only prove to be cost effective, but also can bring in the best return on investments.

First of all let’s dispel the myth that just because your business is a local brick and mortar store, that a website is not needed. This is such a big mistake that small business owners fail to realize. A recent surveyed found that 75% of all users do their research online prior to purchasing a product or services. Additionally, search engines like Google.com has taken over the local market also. Google.com is literally sucking up the Yellow Pages listings and adding them into their local search engine results. Therefore, Google is providing free marketing to a small business locally.

It is first important that the business has a clear idea of what market the small business wants to target. What a business needs to do is first gather several keyword phrases they want to achieve top rankings for. For instance, if your business is in accounting industry then you should target keywords like:

  • Accountants
  • CPA
  • Tax Returns

Then right after the keywords just put “in Your city, State”. Sprinkling these keyword phrases throughout your website such as in the title, meta description, and the body of the website. This can dramatically improve your local search engine results. This simple additional or change can bring large amounts of visitors to your website. What is great is that you are giving exactly what the user is searching for.

You see marketing a small business online should be a top priority for any local business. Do not expect to receive large amount of leads and foot traffic to your store by just utilizing the traditional methods. The days of having a big sign of your local business is just not enough. I am not looking to gain rankings, I just want my site to appear when some one searches for the name of my company. I tried to use some meta tags that were supposed to be up to date but I didn’t have any luck. Can anyone plug some tags in for me that will work? I have already tried tags from various websites. I would greatly appreciate the help. I am stumped.

I have a couple of small business sites and I’ve read tonight on a Forum that if you put a watermark over all your photo’s on your site with your web address then the Search Engines will pick this up and boost your rankings. Early tests with a friends web site who has done this gives her 650 links with me about 100 however I have over 100 reciprical links and she has only a handfull. Does any one know if this is true ?
Thanks
