The naming of your business could be one of the most important decisions you will make. A name’s originality and legal availability will create a real asset value of its own, as it becomes marketed and gains market acceptance.
The name you choose will become the focal point of all the benefits and features that relate to your business. Customers will be able to find and refer others to it in the future.
Since any names that are suggested here may already be owned by another party, I wanted to go a different route…
I suggest either hiring a name creation firm or get together with your friends and/or family and throw a “name party” & have everyone bounce some ideas around. Compile a listing of names that you like the best. Once you have that list, do as much free research as you can before you delve into comprehensive research.
I listed some links where you can do some preliminary name checking. However, please be aware that this is merely scratching the surface of what’s out there.
Only comprehensive research will tell you if the name is truly available. But, these links are free & a great place to start, so I’d try them out first.
Comprehensive research consists of looking at marks that are similar in Sound, Appearance or Meaning in the pending & registered Federal AND State trademark files as well as the US National Common-Law files.
There are other sites that offer free searching capabilities in conjunction with their commercial services, so I’m not able to post those links due to the Yahoo! TOS. You’ll also want to check domain names & yellow pages, so simply do a search for “free domain name search” and “national yellowpages” and the appropriate links will pop up.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

I don’t know, but I think it’s important to know that the best (most effective) internet marketing company serving customers in Orange County, CA is probably not located in Orange County. There is fundamentally no advantage to being “local” for 98% of internet advertising activity, even when promoting a “local” company only within a small geographic area.
I assume that you’re seeking to hire an internet marketing company, and perhaps you’ve chosen to limit your search to Orange County because you want to meet someone face-to-face, or perhaps you just realize that there are many thousands of companies so you figured you should “buy local.”
I understand that attitude, but you should first identify your specific goals and then try to determine which company can best meet your needs. There are many different “types” of internet marketing companies, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Many companies are really just one person, or a few people, with their own unique attitudes and skills.
What industry is your company in? Are you seeking to sell products, or services? What kind of products? To what audience? Will you actually sell online? Can you track and analyze performance internally? What are your goals (immediate sales, customer leads, branding)?
Good luck.

Internet perfections david powell is currently under investigation for fraud. I have reason to believe that the search marketing group is another of his scam sites.

Good for you! The first thing you need to do is to find something that you’re passionate about. Then go to http://Squidoo.com and create a site there Those sites are called lenses, but they are actually just monetized blogs. They are very user friendly and the search engines love them! Add as much content to the site as possible-but that’s not all. You should definitely have an optin form on the site so that people can get a free report and some kind of useful gift when they give you their name and email address. You should have an autoresponder to create the form and to manage all of your communication with your list members. I recommend either GetResponse.com or http://Aweber.com They are both good.
Once they are on your list, you have the freedom to offer them more things in the same name niche. But don’t let every letter have offers. Some should be just good information. Build a relationship with these people. Call them on the phone if you have time. Go to conferences and meet them in person.
Don’t just see them as wallets. They are people with troubles and desires. If you tap into what makes them tick and truly want to help them, you will be able to create useful products that you can feel good about offering to them. It’s just wonderful when people thank you for taking their money in exchange for your own product-especially if your product is digital!
I highly recommend that you get into that type of area. Imagine getting paid and never having to stock or even touch anything!
Digital products are the way to go.
They work for me. They can work for you.
Why do I recommend that you create a lens?
Every client I get seems to have the problem of paralysis by analysis. Once you have an assignment, you stop thinking and start doing! That’s the true secrets to internet marketing success…starting and finishing.
