If you search for your personal name or your business name on the search engines, the results that come up will indicate your online publicity.
There are many ways – even free & effective ways – to achieve this.
For example, you may try
* Submitting Articles to article directories with your name & url in the signature space.
* Creating a blog and updating the content regularly.
* Writing reviews and testimonials on others’ products / websites
* Social Networking through Forums, Discussions boards etc.
BTW, it is a good practise to keep checking your online publicity – as you have termed it – regularly.
Sometimes, this publicity may even be a negative comment left by some dissatisfied customer. As you know, negative news spreads much faster and this can affect your business.
