I’m building an HTML site. I’ve followed just about all of the basic SEO rules, but do have a couple of pages within the site (not main, primary pages) that utilize frames.
I understand that frames can affect SERP rankings negatively, which is why I’ve kept the use of frames to an absolute minimum and have only used them on pages of lesser importance.
I’d like to prevent the search engines from indexing the FRAMED pages (but NOT the actual FRAME pages) so that they don’t show up as incomplete-looking or “dead end” pages in the SERP’s.
I’m planning on using the following tag to accomplish this:
My question is: Will this have any negative or adverse SERP ranking effects on the other non-frame pages that are meant to obtain the best possible SERP rankings?
Will use of this tag only in the framed pages negatively affect the site as a whole?

This should not effect your SERPS. (But honestly no one really knows). If you have links on your framed page you also want to use ‘nofollow’.
However, VERY few robots use the robots meta tag and you would be better off putting it in robots.txt
on your frameset page use tag pair. in there put a link to everyone of your framed pages so the search crawler can access every page in case it doesn’t like your frames.
All this super search engines come and search all your pages and take whatever they want for their their business from your pages,and when come for search result,1) first they see which site people visit more 2)then search in-only index pages for the searched word,then they go for the other pages.so pay them or bribe them or make your index page with good content,meta and perfect title.That’s all.

use the robots.txt file “disallow” function
