(I also have a .htaccess file to facilitate this.) These error pages are all exact copies of my home page, so whatever the user does, they will end up seeing my home page if they make a mistake. What concerns me is, will I incur any duplicate content penalty (with Google or any of the search engines) because of this, and will my rankings suffer as a result?





























Yes, this will be consider duplicate content since the same exact content will be found at different URL strings. Just 301 redirect all non-existed pages to your main domain name, this is the most search engine friendly way to do this.
