I would like to do a homestudy course of some sort that offers support and training in this area. I am in Australia don’t know if that matters. Can anyone help?

If I were you, I would call up the local schools in your area (universities etc) and see if they offer marketing courses online. Many schools are going this way and you can often get a degree when you are done.
Secondly you can try schools like the University of Phoenix which puts a ton of courses online for people to study abroad. There are plenty of these “online schools” out there now and many of them do Internet marketing and web design since that course lends itself to the Internet pretty easily.
Just check their references, make sure they are legit, that they have a physical address and give them a call. See how they handle your call, are they professional? See if anyone else has had success with them. Do your research.
Good luck on the marketing course search!
