Free media will always be full of advertising.

How else is all the free content on the internet going to be paid for without it? I think if all the free sites out there (like Yahoo, Google, etc) were suddenly made ad-free, pay sites, traffic on the internet would drop exponentially (which might not be a bad thing since people might actually start getting out of the house, reading books, etc. again).

I agree! I read the news online and noticed that when one site gets something even more iritating, the other soon follow. My web design company is WayneWilleyWeb and one of my biggest slogans is “www stands for world wide web but turn it upside down and it’s Massive Marketing Mess!”
